Who we are
ksahospitality.com (the “Site”) is published by Aaron Allen & Associates, LLC, 390 North Orange Avenue, Suite 2300, Orlando, Florida 32801, USA (“AA&A”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
What we collect
The Site is built to collect as little as possible. You can read every page without creating an account or giving us your name or email address.
- Technical data sent by your browser. Like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type, device type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the page and to protect the Site from attacks and misuse.
- Anonymous visit statistics. We use a privacy-friendly analytics service to count page views and see which pages are popular, which countries visits come from and which device types are used. It does not use cookies, does not identify you and does not follow you across other websites.
- Settings you choose. If you switch the language (English or Arabic) or the currency (SAR or USD), your choice may be remembered in your own browser. It is not sent to us.
We do not use advertising, we do not use tracking cookies, and we do not sell or rent personal data.
Why we use it
We use this data to run the Site, keep it secure, fix problems, and understand which content is useful so we can improve it. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and useful website.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that run the Site for us, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Hosting and security providers, which deliver the pages, protect the Site from attacks and produce the anonymous visit statistics.
- Domain name service providers, which direct visitors to the Site’s address.
- A content management provider, which stores the text of the Site’s pages and articles. It does not receive visitor data.
These providers may process data outside Saudi Arabia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Technical logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider for security purposes, normally no longer than 30 days. Anonymous visit statistics contain no personal data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you may have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to receive a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or limit its use. To use any of these rights, email chicago@aaronallen.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in Saudi Arabia, this is the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA).
Children
The Site is intended for business readers and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If we add new features, such as a contact form or additional analytics, we will update this policy before they go live and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
